Alireza Mashaghi

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Alireza Mashaghi Tabari (Tenured Associate Professor) is a physician-scientist who leads the Medical Systems Biophysics and Bioengineering group. He holds a BSc degree in chemistry (with a minor in pure mathematics), MSc and PhD degrees in physics and an MD degree in clinical medicine with a fellowship in ophthalmology. He has been affiliated with various academic institutions including Leiden University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Delft University of Technology, ETH Zurich, and Max Planck Institutes. He is an advocate of interdisciplinary education and research and published >100 peer-reviewed articles. Alireza is an associate editor of several journals including Nano Research and Scientific Reports.
