Alireza Mashaghi
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Alireza Mashaghi Tabari (Tenured Associate Professor) is a physician-scientist who leads the Medical Systems Biophysics and Bioengineering group. He holds a BSc degree in chemistry (with a minor in pure mathematics), MSc and PhD degrees in physics and an MD degree in clinical medicine with a fellowship in ophthalmology. He has been affiliated with various academic institutions including Leiden University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Delft University of Technology, ETH Zurich, and Max Planck Institutes. Prof. Mashaghi is an advocate of interdisciplinary education and research and published >100 peer-reviewed articles, and contributed to several books. He serves on multiple scientific advisory bodies, including as an editorial board member of NanoResearch.
